Right now I'm enjoying my 1990 325i and it's new E36 M3 steering rack (don't ask), I don't expect my new baby to make it to the US until the middle of September.
There are only 2 drawbacks to European Delivery - the redelivery wait is excruciating, and you will always plan for a next one.
