The biggest thing is pricing. A standard V1 is great, and will run you $300-$600 for the unit plus remote head (depending on if you get new or ebay). A total stealth intergration of either is gonna run you around $1500+ depending on your shop. The 9500ci is great as well, and each seem to have their loyal armies. Personally I prefer the V1 for the directional display. The learning feature is decent on the 9500. As far is stealth in car systems they are both great, with the 9500 probably being a touch more sensitive simply by the nature of the V1's stealth install (you lose Laser detection since the unit is hidden - often in either the headliner or dash. Not a big deal since ordinary laser detection is pretty useless without a shifter of some kind). I love the fact that my V1 system is completely hidden even when you are in the car. I just have to tweak it for more sensitivity to be perfect.
Your install shop should have both avialable to test, so like just about everything else, it's personal preferance.
