You mean the trim tool goes in flat, and you twist it to make it vertical to pop off the latches?
Did you manage to not break any of the plastic latches? Many on e90post said it was fairly easy to remove the trim, but I'm about to take the ashtray piece apart so I can reveal the backside of the door piece.
