Never understood the hype for FF7. I thought several other PS1 JRPGs were better like Chrono Cross, Chrono Trigger, FF8, Dragon Warrior VII (I'm a hardcore DQ/DW fan), and a few other SquareSoft's stuff. I'm not knocking it for a bad game because it was actually good...it just doesn't live up to the legendary status it has somehow made for itself. Among the FF games I've played (1-10, 13), it's somewhere in the middle behind 6, 4, and 7.
I'm hoping the remake would do it for me.
