I don't think anything will happened, and I really don't think that the dealer would give a flip if you painted the plenum or not. All they are going to do is the maintenance and that is it. Good point! Worst case scenario I remove the broken half of the chrome screw with a screw extractor and buy a 5 dollar new one to replace it.
