6MT here. Admittedly, I bought the car used, but didn't even consider cars with the DCT. I feel the control the 3rd pedal gives you over the car cannot be matched. With that said, I haven't driven a DCT or automated manual before.
Honestly, if they made a DCT with a third pedal (similar to F1 cars of 8-12 years ago) I'd probably take one of those.
