Yep, the tire question has come up repeatedly and has consistently been answered as "with good snow tires, the M3 performs wonderfully". That from folks in Canada and other extreme weather places here in the states.

So, don't let the dealer "sell you" on the XI as being "required" for winter driving or being a "good deal". He/she is doing what they do--sell--and trying to make a buck off you. (Yeah, "good deal" for the dealership and sales person.)

Aside from not providing the dealer with more $, keep the better car and you win twice.
