I have a 535xiT and an M3 and can honestly say they are completely different. Yah, I know... it's a "wagon" - but the biggest difference is that the 5 is a "utility" car - comfortable and smooth - where the M is pure fun with every RPM.
Smiles vs. Comfort in my opinion. Keep the M.
