>18mpg is unreal. I once got it up to 22 mpg on a 5 hour trip to Switzerland, but everywhere else in Germany I was lucky to get 15 mpg on all highway driving. This was going 20 minutes to and from work every day with no signals and only a few stop signs. Now that I'm in DC, I am getting 9 mpg. My car is very thirsty.
