The last time GM brought a Corvette ZR-1 to the Nurburgring (6/2008), the results were 7:26.4
Nissan then ran a 7:26.7 (4/2009) and failed to beat the ZR-1's time (when it was their definite goal to do so).
The controversy, or shall I say rivalry began afterwards when ricer fans, video game geeks and nice folks like you couldn't accept it that their beloved GT-R couldn't beat a GM. (kind of like what your almost doing now
