I'm not sure if BMW will raise the prices on the 2012 E92 M3 but if they do then that would be a plus to go with the 2011, assuming that there are no significant differences between 2011 and 2012 E92 M3.
Indeed a great point, cost is always an issue...I wouldn't hold my sales person to it and I can obviously not provide any usable intel here but I have been told that there will not be major changes to the MY2012 and cost will be roughly that same
