This simply sounds like a case of someone who doesn't have a ton of experience with forums/internet. People who are regulars are calling BS because it walks/sounds like it. OP doesn't understand why everyone is calling BS because he simply lacks experience in the matter. In the end, both parties blame other and we're left staring at each other's bird finger.
