on my previous fix it ticket for tint I also had 10 days. Also the cop who pulled me over gave me a paper that explained the tint laws. The actual fix it ticket stated on the back that for tint violations you had to go to the mva or state police to get a repair officer or someone like that to check your windows again with the meter. Im not sure about now but back then there was no actual monetary fine. You may have to remove it unlike in Virginia where you can just pay the fine.

If you got a "Safety Equipment Repair Order" then this is what you have to do.

If the defect identified on the SERO is aftermarket window tint, an MSP trooper assigned to the ASED must inspect and test the degree of tint. Contact the ASED office for hours and locations. If the aftermarket window tint is completely removed, however, the vehicle then may be taken to any authorized inspection station or MSP barrack to be inspected.
