Scott says the F2x will be all-turbo from the get-go, so I think there's a good chance this engine might arrive either this year with the F20 debut, or perhaps not until sometime next year. You have to figure the F20 will need entry level models as soon after launch as possible, and I don't see them using an N20B20 for those applications. I can see perhaps 123i or 125i with a lower powered N20B20 but I have to believe that a 116i or 120i will use the turbo 3.
The wildcard in all of this is of course the rumored smaller displacement N20 variant.
