It's funny you mention that, AJ. When I hit the track for the first time in my '04 Cobra (bone stock at the time) it developed a crack in the SC reservoir. I ran the crap out of it for 3 hours before we noticed the problem...crazy part, it showed zero knock in the logs . Eaton superchargers build a lot more heat than centrifugal SC's too.

Facts are that 4.5PSI of boost generates very little heat if the SC setup is designed properly and has a good cold air source. GM ran non-intercooled 7-8PSI setups on their 3800 Series II 3.8L SC engine. Over 200.000 of those engines were built.
