Regardless of what was said after that quote, the quote itself, coming from the man himself, exemplifies perfectly what his opponents have been saying about him from Day 1. And please don't ask me to tell you what I mean by that, as I know that you are all aware.
You can analyze it ALL you want, but that kind of fodder is too good to pass up.
Is he going to come out and tell everyone straight up that he believes that the redistribution of wealth and opportunity on a large scale is what is best for this country, and that the government knows how to utilize my paycheck better than I do? Of course not. But quotes like this sure do lend his ideals to this end, and you're crazy if you think that people like me, and any other Republican for that matter are going to ignore them.
