mph time is what equates to 4.8 seconds
Yes, the M3 does reach 0-60 in 4.8 seconds, but 0-62
mph takes 5.2 seconds, bearing in mind that 0-62mph figures are only shown for European models, which I think have 10 more horsepower over the US models. (343bhp as opposed to 333bhp)
Naturally in the real world those figures are meaningless simply because too many factors are involved. But, Quattro means more traction off the line and more grunt means it will stay ahead at mid-range. I doubt it will be a walk through for the RS4 though, it does weigh more than the M3, but do bear in mind the old RS4 still could give the M3 a run for it's money. If going against an M3 CSL, it probably won't stand a chance because of it's weight.
