Which is perfectly fine. The module can be used for the driver's seat only if needed for seat airbag emulation, leaving the passenger leads disconnected since the passenger seat is still in place.

1 module can cover both seats, connections will ultimately depend on your specific setup.

This is strictly up to you. In comparison, BMW also offers a passenger airbag on/off switch for the e9x M3 as well - but this does nothing for occupancy sensor emulation.
