I was talking to a corvette tuner while hanging out between sessions, and he said it's common for the actuators to die prematurely when placed too far upstream (heat).

Wow you only got a few months. The Kreissieg system is looking better and better. OP: You might want to consider a vacuum system! More complex but probably worth it.
