Just got a response from the dealer about running the test for the over-revs. Here is what he said:
"I just spoke with our shop foreman. BMW removed the individual dealer's ability to see that type of data from the DME - possibly as long ago as the E36 model. Our shop foreman will contact our BMW representative to see if they will access the data and provide it to us. "
Does this sound right to you guys? Isn't there a way for one of their techs to get into the car's computer to see if there have been any over-revs?
