I thought I'd revive this thread with an update on the HT-10's. I did my one event last year with HT10's on the front and stock pads on the rear. Everything held up fine, and the brakes performed quite well. The problems I had were with squealing. I drove home with the HT10's still on, and about anything under 30 MPH resulted in a nasty squeal... all the way to a stop. It was embarrassing!
I reinstalled the stock pads, but the problem continued, so I took them off and applied anti-squeal. This helped a bit, but it took nearly 3 months of driving to (almost) get rid of the squeal.
I don't know if the Hawk compound was incompatible with the stock compound, or if I damaged the rotors during the school, but I'm looking for a better alternative for this season.
If anyone has any suggestions (pads, swapping strategy, etc.) I'm all ears.
