I have yet to see hard data to support that weight difference. My weighing of 19s with tires, and subtracting out tire weight, puts them at;

Front: 47.0 - 24 = 23.0# wheel weight
Rear: 51.5 - 25 = 26.5# wheel weight

Post #10: http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=127032. No way the 18s weigh 4 lbs less than that.
