Your dream is not necessarily over. If the cars don't sell, BMW will count on dealers giving up some of their margins first, and then introduce incentives. By the end of summer, the ordering lines will be long gone, and you should be able to negotiate a nice discount. You should be able to lower by a $1k at least. I'd insist on $2.5k or so. I wouldn't expect any incentives from BMW yet though.

I think the 100000 number was mentioned by the M-division head in an interview. They sold a little over 80000 of the E46 M3s, so I guess they are thinking they can do better. We'll see.
