Definitely a revolver cartridge though. I would bet 99.9% of guns chambered in .38 special are revolvers. That is a fairly obscure pistol, but looks like a nice one.

Figured if someone wanted to bring up an "exception to the rule" they would have used the Desert Eagle (357 mag, but can shoot .38 special also if modified).
