If you've never put an engine together I don't recommend you attempt this. Especially on an engine such as an S65. You'd need to take the oil pan complete off, I can't done an M3 yet, so I don't know whats in the way but you'd have to remove everything that prevents you from getting the oil pan completely off.
Picture something like this, but upside down on your back, while oil is dripping in your face.
