What you are looking at are the helper portion of the spring, those will fully compress once the full vehicle weight is on them.
So what is the significance of having a helper portion vs a fully linear spring such as a coilover spring? My understanding is for droop travel possibly but would that variation in the spring cause adverse effects when the suspension unsettles? I guess I'm not quite seeing the point for having the helper portion vs not?
