I'm not a service tech, but I would guess that you will need to hook it up to computerized diagnostics. pbonsalb said his dealer was able to diagnose the issue on his 08 5 series, which used the same sensors. It may take a dealer or at least dealer-level equipment to accurately diagnose that type of fault.
