yup, not really a big deal. Just jack the car up and wrap your hand around the spring and pull it towards you until it stops. Tighten down the bolts (usually no more than 25 ft lbs) and lower the car down. As M3QRD stated, won't be a big deal if you're just driving a short distance to a shop.
As opposed to removing the shock? Or you mean to snug it all up before getting a real alignment?
