We were blasting off ak's and ar's shooting exploding targets they were like wtf...
I like it a lot! I've only shot it once but i've had a 22 in the past. They are really fun when you and a buddy have them and you're having competitions between lanes or even better when you're out on some property doing the same. The great part about the S&M M&P 22 is that it replicates the AR15 to the T. So when using it at pennies per round, you're also building your AR muscle memory and training skills.
We actually plan on upping our training with this plinker. My core group of pals are a mix of civilian and ex-military guys. So our military pals are using their experience to set up training situations for us all to hone our skills on. The plan is to use the S&W M&P 22 for everything except pistols.
I'll admit that when you're plinking away at your targets and someone is next to you banging away with an AR or AK it's somewhat dissatisfying. Last weekend when i was shooting it for the fist time the guy in the lane next to me was shooting pistols. He busted out what looked like a SCAR rifle. I didn't expect it to be full auto, but it was. So there's now a crowd behind us and i'm sitting there, tap, tap; tap, tap, tap with my .22 while he's spitting out 30 casings in a matter of seconds. I took solace in the fact that i was hitting my target while the guy with more money than skill was hardly doing so. haha
Sweet little rifle though, i would recommend it to anyone who likes to shoot on the cheap.
