Seriously, I have owned five BMWs and after a few years each of them got chewed up by the salt, sand and other garbage they dump all over the roads here in the winter. you've got me worried man, I live in CT, have been for 6 years.

I've owned and driven a Mitsu Evo VIII and Acura TSX while living here, and neither of them were babied during the winters here.

Are Bimmer's particularly susceptible to rust?

I only ask because I also have a set of the F30 rust-seat-frame syndrome, and that's with 5500 miles on the clock.

If I would've known these cars were such wimps, I would've kept the TSX and just bought a used M3 for driving/garaging....
