The risk of something going wrong is no different whether you are in warranty or not. If anything, there is less risk in a lower mileage car.

So.....what's the point of waiting for your warranty to expire before modding?
I think it's just the idea of getting the most out of what you have to pay for regardless. The 4 year warranty is built into the price of the car.
