Its crazy-having talked to two local dealers-their prices vary from $220-$335 for the software update. They also advised against doing it unless there is a problem with the car. My understanding is that it can take up to six hours if it has been a long time since the car was updated. The longer it's been since the last update the more modules will likely need to be updated. That price is 2 to 3 hours labor which is not bad IMO.
