I would def do a 9-10:1 over a built 12:1 all day long. Nicer to be able to run higher boost
DLSJ5 made 586 rwhp with a VT625 at 7.2 psi on a stock compression motor. He built a low compression motor and raised the boost to 11.2 psi and made 645 rwhp. More than a 50% boost increase, expensive built motor, and he gained 10% rwhp. Definitely worth it for those who can afford it and are chasing every last rwhp, but they are the 0.01%.
