For the second time in a year, my car has built up a layer of bonded contaminants on the rear number and trunk lid. They come off with clay, but aren't building up on the rest of the car. Also, this is where dust / dirt accumulate first after washing.
So...am wondering if there's some odd swirling / turbulence at the rear that causes this? Especially if the top is down (which it usually is)? Anyone else experiencing this, and/or has an idea on how to reduce it?
Rear of any vehicle is always the dirtiest. This is down to basic aerodynamics. Any object moving fast enough will create an area of low pressure behind it, therefore "sucking" in objects/particles that are light enough.
