I ordered through the autofinesse website directly 10+ days ago so am not sure who was really responsible at the time. I do know that DD is in charge of this transaction now. Spoke to Phil at DD through emails yesterday explaining the issue at hand. He explained that the delay was because "Martin had issues clearing customs and from there he released all the duties of AF USA to us (DD)". Phil even said he will ship out the kit I ordered for free.
Wow, I was surprised with the free offer. Just told him we can split the cost because I too ordered from DD before and never had problems and do plan to order more in the future.
Now I feel bad.
I would say no reason to feel bad. If Martin wasn't going to handle orders anymore, he should have shut his e-commerce portion down and not accepted the order. DD is just making up for things to help you out.
