Nope, but I always make sure my trunk is free of dirt. I also have a piece of clear vinyl wrap on the top of the rear bumper (below the trunk) top protect it from things like the bike track, luggage etc. Bought it from
here and cut it myself to fit.
The only gripe I have with trunk racks is that the pedals need to be placed strategically, otherwise they can easily dent something.
Also - the Thule can be easily dismantled to pack in luggage if you plan to rent a car and ride during trips ;-)
