When I tested the 2012 Boxster/Cayman S series, I thought the car drove on rails and had excellent steering, but it was not the "OMG, what a car" that I thought it might be and still preferred the M3 more. There's just something about the overall package of the M3 that I really love.....

Funny you mention that, i've driven the Cayman R, Boxster Spyder and 3.8 GT3 RS all in the same day on track and to a certain extent the Cayman R/Boxster Spyder didnt blow me away despite being extremely competent, it was almosta case of being too clinical.
