Formula One World Champion Sebastian Vettel will drive a preview lap on the 2013 Grand Prix of America course Weehawken and West New York Monday, June 11, according to a press release.

Affected roads will be shut down between noon and 2 p.m., according to media reports, and Vettel’s speed will not exceed 40 m.p.h.

The course runs through sections of Boulevard East and Port Imperial Boulevard and is the longest track in Formula One history, coming in at 3.2 miles. Race promoter Leo Hindery, Weehawken Mayor Richard Turner, and West New York Mayor Felix Roque will be in attendance while Vettel drives the course beginning at 1:15 p.m.

The race is set for June of 2013 and is expected to attract around 100,000 spectators.
