It sounds like the KW adjuster is at the bottom of the main spring (sitting on the control arm) so there really isn't anything to prevent the threaded side of the adjuster from spinning. Based on the OP's problem even if you unload the main spring the entire adjuster still spins.

Yeah i'm running KW's. I put the car up tomorrow and see what kind of adjustment I can make with no compressor.
