I had the same thing happen. It is the battery and I had mine replace under warranty BUT my SA said the car had been underdriven since my car is so low mileage. Apparently the car needs to be driven at least 1000 miles a month or the battery is not charged enough. Sometimes a warranty claim will be denied because of this. It sounds crazy but thats what he told me.
that's helpful to know because i live less than a mile from work,and typically only drive 4 or 5k a year.i guess i'll just have to drive this car more,which will be a lot of fun,and possibly replace batteries more than usual.it makes sense in a way,the m3 has a lot of electronic functions,and therefore probably has a high battery drain.
