A theory i have is that folks who install aftermarket exhausts tend to beat on their cars a bit after the install just to hear the exhaust. They may do a couple of hard launches to hear the exhaust roar, experience some wheel hop, shear a couple of bolts, then assume the exhaust install may have something to do with it.
Bottom line, lots of conclusions based on assumptions instead of facts.
