Can you let us know what your paperwork from the service writeup says? I had a very similar problem and they said it was my differential, changed the diff oil, etc. It is quieter now (1000+ miles later), but I still hear it when the oil is cold and some other set of parameters that I can't define well enough to reproduce the noise for the dealer. If there is another cause, I'd like to hear about it just in case...
