Hard to be patient!
I placed my order through an overseas military sales agent. The service and communication up to the point of arrival at the US port has been excellent. Though the folks at the BMW Special Sales team are very polite, I can't help but to feel in limbo right now.
My vehicle arrived in Brunswick, GA on the 10th. Three days ago I found out it was released from the VPC (clear of customs and all) and was awaiting trucking. But BMWNA told me the hang up was with the delivery center (local dealer). Apparently, they hadn't communicated a delivery date. I haven't heard anything since then.
The vehicle is literally 6-7 hours away from me. I broke down and called the local dealer today and they didn't seem to know anything. I got transferred around a bit and finally left a message for the GM. I guess I won't find anything out until Monday. Maybe next week will be the week! I'm sure the holiday will delay things but, what can you do? I think this is the worst part of the wait.
I guess I'm just afraid I'll be treated with lower priority since I didn't order it from this local dealer, and will be taking "courtesy delivery". There really isn't a way around it though with the military sales program.
Thanks for letting me vent.
