Holy cow!!! You'd have been better off hitting a deer instead
. Seriously, glad you're okay. Lesson learned: there's no need to stop for deer; you just slow down enough not to hit them. They can easily evade a vehicle at 15/20 mph. And they're not like cattle; they want to get the hell out of your way.
I know it's hard to always evade a distracted driver, but if the Accord was 2 miles behind, what the hell was the car in front waiting for??? A deer funeral procession? And couldn't you just pass the Saturn and continue on your merry way
? Am sure there's a lesson from your accident. Almost always there's something you could have done to avoid it, short of a meteorite falling from the sky. As long as you don't make the same mistake twice, it's called 'life experience'
