Thanks gentlemen. I don't have any complaints about the 1 to 2 shifts or feel there is anything difficult with this transmission. It just isn't as precise feeling as my older Porsches. Oh well.
I have been reading about and considering the ZHP just to make it feel less 'rubbery' and maybe more precise.
I have noticed that i like driving with the M button on as I like the quicker throttle tip in. I find it easier to drive in traffic with a more immediate response. In the first 500 miles, with my commute of 60% highway and 40% city, I've been getting between 17 and 18 mpg. I also haven't found the car lacking in torque as a daily driver. In fact the car seems quite civil as a DD. It makes freeway entrances and merging with traffic a whole lot of fun. And I do take the long way home for fun. Usually with the windows down just to listen to the motor.
I live outside of Albuquerque, so I'm in a high altitude environment. I'm looking forward to a sea level road trip.
